- James Randall Johnson
- Jim Johnson is an attorney, adjunct professor and a freelance journalist. He has practiced law for over 25 years. He is also a former officer in the United States Navy. Johnson has taught at the college level for 30 years Since 2006 he has traveled the world writing and photographing war and conflict. In 2006 he covered the 34 Day War between Israel and Hezbollah from the border with Lebanon. In March of 2007 he traveled to Nepal and Tibet to write on the Maoist activity in the 11 year old Nepali Civil War. Additional expeditions have included: The rise of radical Islam in the Cotabato Province of Mindanao Island in Southeast Asia. (August 2007) The public uprising against right-wing paramilitary death squads in Colombia.(March 2008) The 26 year old Sri Lankan civil war in South Asia (August 2008) Civil uprising in from the streets of Dhaka in Bangladesh (March 2009) Most recently Johnson retured to Sri Lanka where he and his fiancee Marci, were married on the coast of the Bay of Bengal. Away from professional life, Johnson is an experienced sailor, solo high altitude mountain climber and is also active in running marathons.
